Tall Club Germany Mainz - Wiesbaden, Klub Langer Menschen KLM Bezirk Mainz - Wiesbaden
bei Frankfurt. The Tall Club Germany- Klub Langer Menschen e.V. (KLM) has been founded in
Munich in 1954 for tall women (lower limit 1.80m/5ft 11") and men (lower limit
1.90/6ft 2"). In just a couple of years sections were founded in almost every bigger
city. We started as a subsection of the KLM-Frankfurt and on May 4th 2001, in order to be
officially recognized, we will reorganize us as the new KLM section Mainz-Wiesbaden. Tall
Clubs have also been founded in many other European countries. All of them are
members of the European Tall Club Association, organizing and celebrating the European
Tall Club convention every year. At first, we focussed on bringing suppliers for oversized
shoes, clothes and the customers together. With the Tall Club as common ground it became a
lot easier to find something that fits.. As a result, our TALL CATALOGUE is the most
complete collection of vendors. (The Catalogue, (Please state Der Lange Katalog on your
order) can be purchased for 30DM (15 Euros, Cash or Eurocheque) from Petra Weitzel,
Elsa-Brändström-Str.29, D-55124 Mainz, codeword Internet Mainz-Wiesbaden). Today,
socializing is what we do and like most, besides i.e. offering information to prevent
intervertable disc damage or info for tallies with a marfan syndromeThe membership fee
varies between German Tall Club sections. In the KLM districts Mainz- Wiesbaden and
Frankfurt its 5DM/2.5Euros per month plus, a one-time admission fee (10DM). At January 2st
2002 the membership will be raised to 3 Euros per month. This includes free admission to
most of the club hosted activities, a two month circular letter, the TALL CATALOGUE and a
all German journal GROSSE GLOCKE two times a year. To become a member, download our
